Matured in the Game!

They claim to be leaders serving my interest
Yet turn low the volume of their conscience
From hearing shouts of agony to my hopeless end
Rather they rob my few to better their abundance
Proving the Law of Gravity unlawful!
All that went up never came down
Instead went higher and trampled on the downtrodden
Refusing to acknowledge the rights to my needs
But directing me to live an empty meaningless life
A pointless matter of hopeless waiting
Of truth, doom awaits those who delight in oppression!
How do I live long when I’ve not lived well?
In unrighteous pretence they come!
Preying on all they find vulnerable
Leading many astray in their ignorance
Providing assurances to all needs
Education, health, food for all!
Proclaiming equal rights and justice
With my thumbprint they achieved authority
But they only feigned to gain the Seat first
Today, they rule over me with no compassion
They’ve added all things to their Bank Accounts
Depressing my economy for their personal pockets
Family and friends their special responsibility
Me they no longer remember!
Forgetting my existence and survival
Today, they sing hymns alien to my bursting ears
Our predecessors were woeful; they claim
Corruption is our major hindrance; they allege
It is a gradual process, we need time; they say
Yet their lives are infection free; improvement always
No! Not for me, the last at the receiving end
Now my ignorance has come of age; it has taught me better!
Yes! I‘ve leant never to put my trust in them
How long would they play their tricks on me?
Tomorrow they will come around with their sweet talks
Seeking for a second chance to finish looting my treasury,
But I will be ready; yes I will be analytical!
It’d make sense voting for myself on my empty stomach
Than to be bamboozled by a Pocketician!
