Audio Report: Young Africans for climate justice and development

Major events that will shape the course of the planet for years to come have happened in the course of 2015, a watershed year for Africa and for the world.

The International Conference on Financing for Development was convened in Addis Ababa in July and in September, a summit by the United Nations adopted the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will define the development planning framework in the post-Millennium Development Goal era.

The convening of COP 21 in December seeks to develop a climate governance framework to succeed the Kyoto Protocol. Climate change will be central to all these processes, and the outcomes of COP 21 will determine the ability of the world to meet and sustain its development goals.

African States have developed a common position on the post-2015 development agenda based on a comprehensive consultation process.

In this processes of shaping the planet, young people want to be heard.
Kofi Adu Domfeh engages a group of African youth who are playing active in the space of climate justice, agriculture and sustainable development.
