FIRST ALLIED wins International Star for Leadership in Quality Award

Ghanaian leading non-bank financial institution, FIRST ALLIED Savings and Loans Company, has received the International Star for Leadership In Quality (ISLQ) Award at an event in Paris, France.

The Award is designed to recognize outstanding companies and leaders in the business world, who achieve excellence in quality delivery to their clients based on the QC100 Total Quality Management Model.

Seventy-four companies and institutions from 118 countries received awards, organized by Business Initiative Directions (BID) of Spain.

FIRST ALLIED was honored with a Gold Award for its exemplary performance in financial product innovation and quality service delivery in the micro, small and medium enterprise (SMSE) sector in Ghana.

Dr. Alfonso Casal, President of the ISLQ Award, indicated that the process leading to the selection of FIRST ALLIED was vigorous, spanning a period of ten months.

Working in a difficult economic environment where access to credit is extremely challenging for micro and small businesses, FIRST ALLIED was noted to have kept faith with its customers, without diminishing its standards in product quality and service delivery.

The company’s unwavering commitment to alleviating poverty and improving income levels among the poor in Ghana came up for special mention.

The organizers expressed the hope that the Award will spur FIRST ALLIED on to greater heights in their quality delivery to their customers.

Chairman of FIRST ALLIED Savings and Loans Company, Nana Yaw Oduro, has pledged the institution’s continued commitment to the alleviation of poverty through a deepening engagement with the poor and disadvantaged in society.

He was grateful to customers, management and staff of the institution for their contributions to the company in achieving the prestigious recognition and honor.

The company’s Head of Legal and Compliance Unit, Yaw Berhene Bonsu tells Luv Biz Report the Award has strengthened FIRST ALLIED to provide quality financial services to its target market.

He says three principle areas will be the focus of the firm – deployment of technologically driven channels of doing business, expansion of branch network from the current visibility in six regions to all parts of the country, and building closer relationship with clients.
