Samsung’s free screen damage replacement drives Galaxy S4 sales

Samsung’s two-year Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) warranty for the Galaxy S4 phone is serving as a unique selling point for dealers in the Ashanti region.

The replacement, at no extra charge, covers screen and liquid damages to the Galaxy S4, which was unveiled in Kumasi two months ago.

Local Samsung partner in Kumasi, JOBOST Phones, is enthused at the impact of the warranty on sales volumes.

“S4 is doing well because it has been accepted by consumers because of the screen replacement”, said Job Osei Tutu, Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Customers who have had problems with their devices attest to the value addition as their screens are replaced without charge at Samsung authorized service centres, he stated.

Customers are however limited to two incidents per 24-month period.

Mr. Osei Tutu tells Luv Biz Report technology savvy and phone lovers, especially ladies, are trooping to swap Galaxy S3 and other brands of Samsung handsets for the S4 brand.

“I think if Samsung can extend the screen damage replacement warranty to the yet-to-be introduced Galaxy Note 3, it will be well accepted to the delight of customers”, he stated.

Meanwhile, Mr. Osei Tutu has noted that the imposition of a 20 percent tax on imported mobile handsets will deprive consumers of access to quality phones.

Ghana’s parliament has approved the tax rate, which according to government officials will promote local assembling of mobile phones.

“The consumer should be considered because the future looks better when consumers are satisfied in tasting the best of phones at good prices”, stated the mobile phone dealer.

Thanks for sharing this post I also share with you some tip hope you like. If you've dropped your laptop—or dropped something on it—and the screen has fractured, the diagnosis is easy. Connect an external monitor to your notebook via its VGA-out port to verify that the notebook's other components still work. If the laptop functions properly in all other respects, it's time to start hunting for the parts to fix the screen. If your display problems aren't the result of visible physical damage, however, the problem may not be the LCD. If your screen's backlight flickers, shuts down after a few minutes of usage, or doesn't come on at all, but you can still see a faint screen image, your problem may be the inverter, a small board that supplies power to the backlight. The good news is that these boards are available for well under $100. (We'll show you how to locate and replace the inverter.) If replacing the inverter doesn't solve the problem, the backlight itself may be faulty. If that's the case, replacing the LCD should fix your problem.
