Brisk business ahead of Ghana-Egypt World Cup qualifier

Tickets for the Ghana-Egypt encounter on Tuesday are the hottest selling commodity in the Kumasi metropolis.

As soccer fans criss-cross the city to access tickets, some people are cashing-in on desperate situation to hoard tickets to sell to highest bidders on match day.

Players in the hotel business are also making it good before the match day. Most hotel accommodation facilities in the metropolis are fully booked ahead of World Cup Qualifier.

Facilities on the outskirts of the city are also hoping for an overflow of soccer fans to their benefit.

The hoteliers however say they are slow in effecting price changes in response to recent utility price hikes.

Market surveillance indicates some petty traders are also taking stock of Black Stars and Ghanaian paraphernalia to make sales on Tuesday.
