CAL
Bank has outlined its expansion drive to support business growth in the Ashanti
regional capital, Kumasi.
Managing
Director, Frank Adu Junior describes Kumasi as a ‘cash centre’ which should be
accorded extreme importance.
In
addition to the bank’s five existing branches in the region, a five-storey
building is to be erected in the financial hub of Prempeh II Street, Adum.
“Kumasi
takes a fairly hefty chunk of our loan portfolio; Kumasi is also an SME market
and I think more than 50percent of our SME market portfolio is in Kumasi, so we
are giving them what they want,” said Mr. Adu.
He
spoke to Luv Biz at the launch of CAL’s private banking service in Kumasi.
This offers exceptional services to prestige clients, including extended banking hours.
