Renowned
international investment firm, Vital Capital, is investing $15million in the
construction of Prabon Greenfields sub-urban township on the outskirts of
Kumasi.
The
project is intended to provide an initial solution to the housing needs of the
rapidly developing middle class in and around Kumasi.
Prabon
will be the first housing construction project in Ghana to be designed from the
very first step as high-quality integrated and environmentally friendly
community.
Supported
by the Ashanti King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the construction of the 500-unit gated
community is expected to set new standards for housing development efforts in
Ghana.
The joint
real estate venture, according to the Manhyia Palace, is an opening for fresh
investment flow to Ghana.
A thirty-man delegation from the Israeli firm has
arrived in Kumasi to attend the Akwasidae
Kese to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the ascension of Asantehene
to the Golden Stool.
Founding Partner at Vital Capital, Eytan Stibbe, who led
the delegation, will join the Otumfuo to commission the project.
The Prabon Greenfields will adhere to the Sustainable
Community concept, which emphasizes sensitivity to local environmental and
social needs. It will provide high-quality housing and community services such
as day care, schools, health services and nature preservation solutions.
